Residential Garbage and Recycling Services

RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE and RECYCLING SERVICES

The mission of this division is to provide efficient and reliable garbage and recycling services to all they serve.

Residential garbage, recycling, and yard waste are picked up at the curb. Special scheduled pickups are required for disposing of metal items (such as appliances). The City of West Point does not collect hazardous materials or electronics. These items must be taken to a landfill.

Weekly Residential Garbage Services

Your Garbage Collection Day is on the ATTACHMENT below.

Please remember:

  • To ensure service, set out your container the night before collection day.
  • Set containers at the curb with the lids opening toward the street.
  • Place the containers away from parked cars, mailboxes and other obstacles. Allow clearance from tree branches, utility wires, etc. above the container.
  • Do not leave your containers at the curb on non-service days. Containers must be pulled back onto private property on non-service days.
  • If your garbage pickup day falls on or after a holiday (that same week), your pickup will be one day later.
